My fifteen birthday by Juliana Arenas

When I was a child I always dreamed with a fifteen party. When the day was close I began to prepare everything that I wanted. My parents had experience in “fifteen” parties because my sister had a reception too some years before me. That’s why they knew all that I needed. We did all the preparations: we found a dress, a special social hall, decoration, food, photographers, dj and invitations. Finally the day arrived. My mother, my sister and I went to the hairdressing saloon all the morning and afternoon until the stylist did us all that we wanted:  hairstyles, makeup, masks and did our nails. I began to feel scared because I will be the spotlight but I was excited too. When my parents, my sister and I were in the social hall, which was spectacular. The photographer took a lot of photos for the album but we had to be fast because all the guests were coming and I needed to hide. Most of the guests had arrived and my mom said me that it was the time to go out and I was very nervous because all my family and my friends would be there, but I felt like a princess. Then I went downstairs. All the guests were looking at me and I was very ashamed. The vals began to sing and my father was waiting for me downstairs and we began dancing. Lately it was the toast and when the ceremony got over I could be with my family and friends for celebrate my birthday with the best party I have ever had.
