My First Communion
In order to get ready for my first communion. My mom bought me a pink dress, stockings, and white shoes, a crown of small white and pink little flowers. It was on December 1979; when I had to go to the church with my parents and siblings for my communion.
Because I received the communion for the first time. My parents made a party at home the guests were all friends in the neighborhood.
My sister decorated the house with balloons and streamers. Put white tablecloths, and plenty of chairs around the room; and even a aunt made a cake. The party consisted of small distributing toys to the guests, cake and soda. At the end of the party, we all played a game called from the pot, which it was a thin cardboard box filled with candies and surprises. The adults were given chicken, rice, salad, and soda. My father took a lot of pictures of all my friends, neighbors and family. My friends gave me a lot gifts, pajamas, lotteries, dresses, shirts and rings. My uncles and aunts gave me money. My parents gave me a bouquet of orchids with a beautiful card.
I really enjoyed the party with my friends and cousins. I will never forget this date because is part of my religion, and also part of my life. I still have the photo album, with all the cards from my friends and family.
